About the Role
n
You will be working as a Grade 2 Nuclear Medicine Technologist in both the general Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT departments at SVHM. We are committed to providing training and education, and offer regular continuing professional development for staff.
n
Under the direction of the senior Nuclear Medicine Technologists, you will provide quality Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT examinations in a safe environment.
n
n
Excellent technical and clinical skills.
n
Experience in the handling and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
n
Excellent communication skills.
n
Awareness of all aspects of radiation safety as they pertain to the practices of Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT
n
n
Classifications for this position will range from CJ7 - CT7.
n
Your Contribution
n
n
Bachelor of Applied Science / Medical Radiations in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent
n
Current Medical Radiation Practitioner registration with AHPRA to practice as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
n
Radiation use licence issued by the Department of Health
n
Ability to perform diagnostic CT within the hybrid imaging environment (desired but not essential)
n
Experience sufficient to permit eligibility for accreditation by the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine (ANZSNM)
n
Current National criminal history check, or willingness to obtain
n

The Nuclear Medicine and PET departments at St Vincents Hospital Melbourne offer a full range of both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. We are equipped with 4 gamma cameras (2 in the public hospital and 2 in SVPR) and a PET/CT scanner. The successful candidate for this role may be required to work in each of these clinical areas.
