Job Description
TheThermal Customer Engineer (Technician) – Commissioningis a highly specialised technical role within the APAC ANZdivision, responsible for delivering end-to-end commissioning ofprecision cooling systemsincludingComputer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC),Computer Room Air Handlers (CRAH),Fan Wall Units (FWU), andCoolant Distribution Units (CDU). Reporting directly to theService Operations Manager – Start Up Services, ANZ, this role is pivotal in ensuring the reliable and productive operation ofmission critical Thermal Infrastructureacross large-scale environments, includingTier 1 Data Centres.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Reporting:
n
n
Time Sheets - Digital reporting tool to be used to accurately record hours worked each day.
n
Commissioning/Service Reports - to be completed within set timeframes.
n
Proactively communicate project progress and any site issues to the Project Manager & Service Operations Manager.
n
n
Operational Delivery:
n
n
Own the commissioning process from start to finish -You'll lead the full commissioning cycle across Vertiv's complete range of CDU, CRAC, CRAH, FWU & TWU units, delivering critical infrastructure that keeps the world's most important facilities running.
n
Work on landmark projects -Carry out L2, L3, and L4 commissioning tasks alongside experienced Vertiv Project & Commissioning Managers. If you've previously worked on Tier 1 Data Centre sites, you'll feel right at home here.

Broaden your expertise -This isn't a one-dimensional role. You'll also support the Service Team with maintenance and time & material works,
giving you exposure across the full asset lifecycle.

Daily Work Duties and expectations:
n
n
Travel to various sites, includingremote locations, requiring a validDriver's Licence.
n
Undertakeovernight or extended travelas project demands require.
n
Working on and around Energised Electrical equipment,adhering strictly to safety protocols.
n
Safely work onlive refrigerant lines and pressure vessels, in compliance with refrigerant handling regulations and licensing requirements.
n
Working and Heights (needs Work at Heights Training and refreshed every 5 years)
n
Operate withinHVAC mechanical systems, demonstrating physical adaptability including working inawkward body positionsas required by the equipment configuration.
n
Undertakemanual handling tasks, including lifting, carrying, and relocating equipment and components in accordance with WHS guidelines (e.g Compressors, Gas Bottles etc.).
