Full-Time Chef Farmers Arms Hotel – Junortoun VIC **** Farmers Arms Hotel, located in **** McIvor Hwy, Junortoun VIC ****, is seeking a skilled and motivated full-time Chef (38 hours per week) to join our kitchen team.
Located in Junortoun, our venue is a well-established hospitality business offering a diverse menu including pub classics, steak dishes, and curry-based meals.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Chef to take on a key role in kitchen operations, menu development, and team support.
Salary $80,000 – $85,000 per annum (plus superannuation) Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu standards Design and contribute to menu development, including seasonal and special dishes Ensure consistency in food quality, portion control, and presentation Monitor food preparation processes and kitchen workflow Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness Assist in training and supervising junior kitchen staff and trainees Manage stock levels, food storage,



and minimise wastage Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations Skills and Experience Robust ability to prepare and cook meals in a commercial kitchen environment Experience in menu planning and dish development Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices Ability to supervise and support junior staff Excellent time management and organisational skills Experience with both pub-style meals and curry-based cuisine is highly regarded Qualifications (Essential) Certificate III in Commercial Cookery Certificate IV in Kitchen Management Diploma of Hospitality Management About You You are a reliable and dedicated Chef who can work independently and as part of a team.
