Senior Project Engineer – FIFO Civil / Mining Infrastructure FIFO WA | Permanent Opportunity | Major Civil Infrastructure Projects About the Opportunity An established and growing civil and infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join its project delivery team across Western Australia.
This is a hands-on delivery role suited to someone who enjoys being close to the work, solving problems on site and taking ownership across the full project lifecycle.
You'll work closely with site teams, clients, subcontractors and operational leadership to plan, coordinate and deliver projects safely, efficiently and commercially from mobilisation through to completion.
The Role As Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of major civil, mining and infrastructure projects.
You'll be responsible for: Managing project activities from mobilisation through to completion and handover Developing and monitoring project schedules, budgets and resource requirements Coordinating engineering, construction and operational activities across site Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation Coordinating procurement of materials, plant, equipment and subcontractors Managing subcontractors and supporting contract administration Monitoring project costs, productivity, progress and commercial performance Identifying project risks, delays and technical issues and implementing practical solutions Working closely with site teams to keep projects moving Liaising with clients, subcontractors and key project stakeholders Preparing progress reports, forecasts and project documentation Ensuring works are completed in line with quality,



safety and client requirements Supporting project close-out and final handover Providing guidance and support to junior engineers and project personnel About You We're looking for someone with strong project delivery experience who understands the realities of working across FIFO civil, mining or infrastructure projects.
Ideally, you will have: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer Strong experience in civil construction, mining infrastructure or major project environments Good contract administration and procurement capability Strong understanding of project costs, scheduling, forecasting and commercial requirements Experience coordinating subcontractors, plant, materials and site resources Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability A practical, hands-on approach to project delivery The ability to work effectively with clients, site teams and subcontractors Previous experience mentoring junior engineers will be highly regarded Why Consider This Opportunity?
