Are you passionate about developing the next generation of midwives?
We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Clinical Midwifery Educator (CME)
to join our close knit maternity team.
This permanent role offers flexibility from either a 0.6 to 1.0 FTE and the chance to mentor student, graduate and experienced midwives while driving excellence in education and evidence-based practice.
With over 1,700 births each year, Newcastle Private is the largest private maternity service north of Sydney, providing care across Birth Suite, Antenatal, Postnatal and Special Care Nursery.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver education and development programs across the maternity service
Mentor, support and educate student, graduate and early-career midwives
Coordinate orientation, onboarding and competency assessments
Promote evidence-based practice and continuous improvement
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
Minimum 4-5 years' post-registration midwifery experience
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or working towards
Experience teaching and mentoring midwives and students
Current NSW Working With Children Check

Staff in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives' – Enterprise Agreement ****, a salary ranging from $66 - $79 per hour.
