About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a
Stakeholder Engagement Specialist
to join our Corporate Affairs, Customer and Strategy team.
Based primarily in Glen Waverley, this role will require onsite attendance, with approximately one day per week spent at our Melbourne CBD office.
This position is being offered as a 12-month parental leave cover for immediate start.
You will be working closely with the project teams, engineers, field crews, and corporate stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery with minimal community impact.
Your workday will be exciting, ever changing, and will require you to travel to a variety of locations, engaging with various internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring information is presented and understood.
Throughout the project lifecycle you will use your consulting, communication, problem solving and stakeholder expertise to play a critical role in project success and make your mark in our business.

Key responsibilities
Manage the planning and executing of stakeholder engagement strategies for key projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Engage with a wide range and diverse group of stakeholders including residential customers, community groups, business owners, local councils, and government agencies.
Provide expert advice to project teams on best-practice stakeholder engagement approaches.
Develop high-quality communication materials such as newsletters, social media updates, and project-related correspondence in line with project needs.
Travel to meet stakeholders across our distribution areas and manage relationships proactively with a key focus on effective information sharing, consultation, influence and relationship building.
What you'll need from day one
A tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
IAP2 certification (desirable) and demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, community engagement, or communications.
Strong relationship management and influencing skills, with the ability to lead difficult conversations.
Excellent writing skills across multiple mediums, with a customer-centric approach.
Experience in utilities, infrastructure, construction, or a related industry.
A current driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
