THE ROLE
The role provides hands-on field leadership for Council's roads and civil crews, supervising daily operations, coordinating resources and ensuring safe, efficient delivery of works.
The position oversees road maintenance, construction, drainage, plant and contractor activities while maintaining operational records, monitoring quality standards and supporting Council's infrastructure priorities.
The role requires strong communication, practical problem-solving and leadership skills to guide employees, manage competing priorities and promote safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
THE BENEFITS
Croydon Shire offers a total remuneration package valued at approximately $103k -$112k.
The package includes a base salary from $85k - $95k, 12% superannuation,
locality allowance up to $6,700 p.a, five weeks paid annual leave and 17.5% leave loading.
You'll also have access to low-cost housing, a free annual gym membership and up to $3,000 relocation assistance.
The role is full-time with a nine-day fortnight.
ABOUT YOU
Experienced roads and civil supervisor with practical field leadership skills, supporting safe, efficient delivery of maintenance, construction and infrastructure programs across local government operations.
Solid communicator who builds positive relationships with crews, contractors, management and community members while maintaining professionalism, accountability and a cooperative team environment.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate employees, plant, equipment and resources to meet operational priorities, project deadlines, safety requirements and quality standards.
Committed to workplace health and safety, with experience monitoring compliance, conducting inspections, supporting risk controls and promoting safe work practices onsite.
Organised and reliable applicant with sound record keeping, reporting, Microsoft 365 skills and a strong focus on continuous improvement and service delivery.
