About the role
The Digital Technology Services (DTS) Asset & Inventory Officer (AIO) is responsible for the end-to-end management of digital technology inventory, including the receipt, storage, allocation, dispatch and tracking of ICT assets and equipment.
The role ensures all inventory movements are accurately recorded within the Service Management and asset management systems, maintaining data integrity, stock accuracy and visibility across the asset lifecycle.
The AIO also supports the optimisation of warranty, support and lifecycle management of technology assets.
The AIO monitors inventory levels, demand and asset movements, identifies stock gaps, risks and trends, and provides inventory reporting and analysis to support technology planning and operational decision-making.
The role contributes to improving inventory controls, asset data quality and processes to optimise ICT asset utilisation, minimise costs and maximise value for DTS and the business.
Key responsibilities
Manage warehouse and inventory operations
, including receiving, issuing, returns and disposal of digital technology equipment.
Maintain accurate asset and inventory records
, including lifecycle and stock information.
Coordinate asset management across WH sites
and ensure project asset data is captured and handed over correctly.
Monitor stock levels and demand
, investigate supply issues and optimise inventory holdings.
Provide inventory reporting and analysis
to support compliance, planning and continuous improvement.
About you
Relevant qualifications and experience
in inventory management, IT systems or a similar technical inventory role.
Strong inventory and IT knowledge
,
including experience using electronic inventory systems and understanding of business IT environments.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills
, with a methodical approach to inventory management, documentation and time management.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.
Valid Victorian driver's licence
and ability to travel between Western Health campuses.
