Westgold Resources is seeking an experienced Alternate Underground Manager to join Cue Operations.
This is a key leadership opportunity to drive safety, performance, and culture in a high-impact environment.
You will lead operational and technical teams, influence mine planning and project delivery, and mentor emerging professionals while supporting Westgold's strategic goals.
Big Bell is a unique mine with access to multiple mining methods, incorporating sub-level caving and open stoping at the one operation, working within an experienced management team that is setup for success in FY27.
About the role:
Implement and reinforce the Project Operational Safety Plan (POSP)
Align 13-week plans with financial and calendar year targets
Review and approve underground mine planning documentation (MIs, LENs, SENs, DAFs, MDAFs)
Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development to underground engineers
Manage surface and underground projects, including contractor oversight
Approve end-of-month accruals and contribute to site budgeting processes
Act as the Registered Manager when required
Prepare, review, and approve Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs)
Review operational performance and present weekly and monthly mining reports to the General Manager

About you:
Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) WA First Class
Mine Manager's Certificate
Current First Aid Certificate
Demonstrated experience in underground mine planning and production
