How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play.
There will be many more exciting and cutting-edge things to do.Design and analyse fluid and mechanical components/subsystems for hybrid and liquid rocket enginesDevelop CAD models and drawings of test stands and rocket engine componentsFormulate hardware test plans, support test campaigns, and evaluate experimental test resultsTroubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysesAssist/lead qualification tests of propulsion components/subsystemsDevelop written procedures and checklist for performing test operationsGuide the development of written procedures for manufacturing componentsCoordinate the fabrication,



assembly and integration of propulsion system elementsSupport launch preparations and launch operations, as neededPerform other duties as requested by ManagementMandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Bachelors (BS) degree in an Engineering discipline5+ years of experience in propulsion, mechanical, fluid system design and analysis in a professional setting (excluding internships)3+ years' experience with CAD designing parts and assemblies(NX/Teamcenter preferred, but other relevant experience is valuable), or3+ years' experience with at least one commercial FEA or Multiphysics simulation package (ANSYS preferred or NASTRAN, ABAQUS, CFD codes, etc.)3+ years' hands-on hardware experience performing fabrication, assembly, integration and testing.NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferredDesired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:3+ years' experience of professional experience in rocket propulsionKnowledge of standards concerning the design of high-pressure fluid systemsAbility to manage large assembly models and drawingsSolid understanding and application of GD&T; standards to design and manufacturing processesAbility to work well in an integrated team including daily interactions with technicians, engineers, and managersCreative problem solver that can bring multiple disciplines togetherAbility to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environmentProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsGilmour Space Technologies is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all team members.We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples for all positions.
