Through Mining Process Solutions, we deliver specialised metallurgical laboratory services to the mining and resources sector, underpinned by a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and technical excellence.The RoleWe are seeking an EHS Advisor to provide advanced, hands‐on environmental, health and safety advice, risk assessment, and compliance support at our Laboratory based in Kardinya.
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will apply specialised knowledge of chemical handling, hazardous substances, and dangerous goods to identify hazards, investigate incidents, and drive corrective action, contributing to the continuous improvement of our EHS management systems.What You'll DoConduct laboratory hazard identification and risk assessments, recommending and implementing practical controls to eliminate or minimise riskInterpret and apply WHS, dangerous goods, and environmental legislation, monitoring regulatory change and liaising with regulatorsLead or support investigations into incidents, near misses, and hazard reports, determining root cause and tracking corrective actions to completionOversee chemical inventory, storage, GHS/SDS labelling,
and lawful disposal of hazardous and laboratory wasteDesign and deliver EHS induction and refresher training, maintaining training and competency recordsPlan and conduct EHS audits, workplace inspections, and emergency drills, maintaining Chemical Hygiene and Emergency Action PlansWhat You'll BringBachelor's degree or Certification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline (or a Diploma in WHS with equivalent experience)Typically 3-9 years' experience in an EHS advisory or coordination role, ideally within a laboratory, chemical processing, or manufacturing environmentSound working knowledge of the WA WHS Act/Regulations, Dangerous Goods legislation, GHS classification, and hazardous waste managementExperience with incident/root cause investigation methodologies (e.g. ICAM, TapRooT) and ISO *********** management systemsCertificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety; AIHS membership (or working towards) and a current First Aid certificate highly regardedWhy DraslovkaPlay a hands‐on role safeguarding a specialised laboratory and its peopleBe part of a global business built on over a century of chemistry expertiseWork closely with a supportive Laboratory Manager and team-oriented site teamsGenuine scope to shape and strengthen EHS systems and safety culture
