ABOUT THE ROLEWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced MRI Radiographer to step into the role of MRI Modality Lead at our O'Connor clinic.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced MRI professional looking to take the next step in their career, combining hands‐on clinical work with leadership, mentoring and operational responsibility.
As MRI Modality Lead, you will provide day‐to‐day leadership and clinical expertise to the MRI team, ensuring our service continues to operate safely, efficiently and to a consistently high clinical standard.
Working closely with Radiologists, site leadership and the broader technical team, you'll play an important role in developing our people, maintaining best‐practice MRI protocols and supporting the continued growth and development of MRI services at Apex.YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide clinical leadership, support and direction to the MRI teamMaintain a high-quality, productive and patient-focused MRI serviceEnsure examinations are completed safely, accurately and in accordance with established MRI protocolsPromote best-practice MRI safety, quality control and scanning techniquesSupport MRI workflow, rostering and appropriate team coverageProvide guidance, mentoring and technical support to MRI RadiographersSupport staff training, competency development, education and CPD opportunitiesMaintain and continually improve MRI protocols, procedures and safety practicesOversee the appropriate use, care and maintenance of MRI equipment and accessoriesAssist with troubleshooting equipment and operational issues and liaise with relevant stakeholders and vendors where requiredWork collaboratively with Radiologists and other modality and site leadersParticipate in quality audits, incident management and continuous improvement initiativesRemain up to date with developments in MRI technology,
techniques and industry best practiceContribute to the ongoing growth and development of MRI servicesABOUT YOUWe are looking for an experienced MRI Radiographer who combines strong technical expertise with a supportive and collaborative leadership style.
You will ideally have:Degree qualification in Medical Imaging or equivalentCurrent AHPRA registrationCurrent WA Radiation Use Licence, or eligibility to obtainStrong clinical experience in MRI and a sound understanding of MRI safety and scanning protocolsMRI qualifications/accreditation relevant to your level of practicePrevious leadership, supervisory or senior MRI experience, or the desire and capability to step into a leadership roleStrong working knowledge of RIS/PACS systemsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsThe ability to build strong working relationships with Radiologists, clinical teams and other stakeholdersStrong organisation and time-management skills with the ability to effectively support a busy clinical environmentA genuine interest in mentoring others and developing the capability of the MRI teamA commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvementPostgraduate MRI qualifications and additional leadership or management experience will be highly regarded.WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS ROLECompetitive remuneration + annual salary reviewsPerformance and remuneration bonus opportunitiesRelocation assistance available for eligible interstate candidatesSponsorship opportunities for the right candidateA genuine opportunity to step into MRI leadership while remaining clinically connectedSupport to continue developing your leadership and technical expertiseAccess to professional development, education,
