Based in Bendigo, this is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Estimator to join our team.The JobWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Estimator to join our team.
This is an excellent prospect for an experienced career professional looking to build a long-term career in construction estimating.
You will work closely with our experienced management teams, supporting projects through to construction and handover.Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent the company at pretender and site meetingsReview tender documents, drawings, and specifications to prepare cost estimates and tender submissionsComplete quantity take-offs from drawings and specificationsObtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations, maintain accurate records of pricing and supplier informationMaintain project databases to deliver projects in line with KPIs, quality standards, and budgetsSupport the handover of successful tenders to project delivery teamCommunicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders,



working closely with project managers and contracts administratorSupport the training and development of existing team membersLiaise with subcontractors and suppliers as requiredSupport post-tender reviews and cost comparisonsAbout youRelevant trade construction qualification (e.g., Carpentry Certificate 3, Certificate 4 building management)Knowledge of Residential and small to medium Commercial Building industry with previous experience highly desirable4+ years' experience in a similar Estimating positionThe ability to help identify project opportunities and bring work through the doorStrong computer skills — experience with Prime or other workflow systems is a bonus, but if you're tech-savvy, we're happy to teach you!
Strong analytical, time management and planning skillsAbility to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and contractors.Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and be solution focusedAn excellent communicator with a solution-based attitudeThe ability to influence, build and maintain networks with a range of stakeholdersAble to work autonomously and liaise with internal departments as requiredCurrent Australian drivers' license; WHS, trade certification & White Card.Please note: The successful candidate must have the right to work in Australia and be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination and criminal background check if required.
