This may be subject to change in line with DCS workplace policiesLead the delivery of strategic technology initiatives that support critical communications and digital transformation across NSW Telco Authority.Drive Agile delivery, delivery governance and continuous improvement practices while leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex technology and transformation outcomes aligned with business priorities.About the teamThis role sits within the Enterprise Architecture team in NSW Telco Authority.The team is responsible for shaping NSW Telco Authority's technology direction through architecture governance, solution design, technology roadmaps and strategic advisory services.
Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, the team delivers secure, resilient and scalable solutions that support critical communications and digital transformation initiatives across NSW.Your responsibilities will includeLeading Agile delivery activities and ceremonies across complex technology initiativesManaging delivery roadmaps, risks, issues, dependencies and delivery outcomesEstablishing and maintaining delivery governance, reporting and performance metricsManaging vendor and delivery partner relationships to support successful project outcomesDriving continuous improvement initiatives and enhance delivery maturity across teamsCollaborating with business, project and technology stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectivesMentoring and developing team capability, fostering a high-performing and delivery-focused cultureFor more information on the role and its accountabilities, click here to view the role description.To be successful in this role you will haveEssential Security Clearance:
You will be able to obtain and retain minimum Baseline Security clearance within six months to work with sensitive government and critical communications informationTertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, ICT or a related discipline, or equivalent experienceDemonstrated experience leading complex digital, technology or transformation initiativesStrong Agile delivery and project management experienceExceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skillsExperience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing competing prioritiesKnowledge of technology delivery, cyber security, privacy, vendor management and governance practicesDesirableExperience delivering enterprise architecture, technology modernisation or digital transformation programsExperience working in telecommunications, critical infrastructure or government environmentsAgile, Scrum, SAFe, PRINCE2 or project management certificationsA talent pool may be created from this recruitment action for future temporary or ongoing vacancies in roles with similar capability requirements.About NSW Telco AuthorityNSW Telco Authority (NSWTA) operates and manages the Public Safety Network to deliver radio communications for frontline responders.We work with emergency services and telecommunications carriers to protect communications assets during emergencies and natural disasters.NSWTA is a delivery agency with responsibility for over $1.5 billion in key NSW Government projects that connect communities and support emergency services.We lead and coordinate whole-of-government connectivity strategy to bridge the digital divide and help keep people and places safe.NSWTA operates as a standalone Statutory Authority within the Department of Customer Service.
