Join us at Mercy Health and help our teams deliver even greater outcomes.About the Mother Baby UnitThe Werribee MBU is a 6-bed, 6-cot inpatient facility specialising in perinatal mental health.
The unit supports women experiencing moderate to severe perinatal mental health challenges and focuses on strengthening parenting capacity and the mother‐infant relationship.
The multidisciplinary team includes psychiatrists, psychiatric registrars, psychologists, maternal and child health nurses, clinical nurse specialists, postgraduate‐trained nursing staff,
a Nurse Unit Manager, and other allied health professionals.What you'll bringYou're resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart.
Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient‐centred care.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality, recovery-oriented mental health nursing careSupport mother‐infant bonding and parenting skills developmentCollaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary teamContribute to treatment planning, risk assessments, and documentationParticipate in quality improvement and reflective clinical practiceDemonstrated commitment to holistic, family‐centred careExcellent clinical, organisational, time management, and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamAvailability for shift work, including nightsYou will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:Registration with AHPRA as a Registered NursePostgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing or equivalentExperience in mental health settings (Adult, Perinatal,
