Our business is built on innovation, integrity, and a deep connection to the land, and we are committed to continuous improvement in everything we do - from paddock to plate.This role is both technical and hands-on and works closely with the Business Unit Manager – Horticulture and would suit someone who is enthusiastic for supporting the day-to-day performance of the sweet potato enterprise.Key ResponsibilitiesCrop monitoring, soil and plant sampling, and evidence-based production improvement across the sweet potato programPest, disease and biosecurity risk monitoring and management, including implementation of HACCP and Freshcare protocolsHarvest forecasting, crop rotation scheduling and coordination with the Business Unit Manager on labour planning and production targetsSupervision and coordination of production staff during planting, growing and harvest periodsQuality assurance across harvesting, grading and post-harvest handling, supporting audit readiness and compliance documentationSupporting workplace health and safety standards, including training and safe equipment operation on the production floorBuilding strong working relationships with industry bodies, representatives, other growers and their companies (both locally and in the Eastern States)



and suppliersAbout YouAt least 2 years of experience in horticulture production with sweet potato experience a strong favourableBachelor degree of Agriculture Science or Diploma of Horticulture highly regardedAbility to lead team through day-to-day operations and liaise with staff and contractorsSound knowledge of horticultural pests, weeds and chemical application processesStrong communication both verbal and written and ability to work well with team members where English may not be their first languageExperience and knowledge of irrigation systems including drip, sprinklers and pivotsStrong organisational and time management skillsImplementation and lead by example on workplace health and safety, environmental expectations, farm compliance and record keepingHigh attention to detail, particularly regarding quality assurance compliance and reportingWillingness to work variable hours during peak production/seasonal periodsHold a current driver's licenceWhat's In It For You?
