Protech is looking for Data Technicians with fibre and copper experience for data centres to be based in Canberra.ABOUT THE ROLEMultiple positions availableMonday – Friday l DAY Shift$50ph-$55ph + super + penalties + travelKEY RESPONSIBILITIESInstall, terminate, and maintain fibre optic cabling systemsPerform fibre splicing and ribbon splicingConduct testing, fault finding, and troubleshooting of cabling and network connectionsCarry out fluke testing and provide certification reports where requiredAssist with the installation and maintenance of structured cabling infrastructureSupport network connectivity by identifying and resolving technical issuesDeliver a high level of customer serviceSKILLS & REQUIREMENTSACMA Open Cabling Registration (essential)Robust understanding of data cabling standards and industry practicesWhite Card (essential)Silica Awareness (essential)Asbestos Awareness (essential)Current Driver's LicenceCurrent Police check (or willing to obtain)Strong communication and problem-solving skillsCommitment to quality and safetyAbility to work independently and within a teamABOUT PROTECHAt Protech, we provide Great Work to Excellent People, taking the hassle out of work so you can focus on a job well done.
