Through leading wellness programs and supporting a team of Wellness Partners, you'll help enhance quality of life and resident wellbeing every day.About the roleAs a Wellness Lead, you'll provide leadership and oversight of the home's Wellness & Engagement Program, ensuring activities are person-centred, inclusive and aligned with residents' goals, interests and abilities.
Working closely with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams, you'll support meaningful engagement that promotes independence, dignity and wellbeing.You will:Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of wellness and engagement programsCoach and support Wellness Partners and volunteers to deliver positive resident experiencesDevelop meaningful activities that support physical, emotional, social and cognitive wellbeingCollaborate with residents, families and care teams to ensure programs meet individual needsMonitor resident engagement, wellbeing outcomes and program participationMaintain accurate documentation and support continuous quality improvementBuild community connections and support events and special celebrationsEnsure activities and environments are secure and align with quality and compliance requirementsRole requirementsDiploma in Leisure and Health with extensive relevant experienceCurrent Queensland Driver LicenceExperience designing and delivering wellness, lifestyle or engagement programs in aged care, disability or community settingsDemonstrated experience coaching, mentoring or leading staff and/or volunteersStrong understanding of person-centered practice, dementia care and cultural safetyExperience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teamsKnowledge of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards,
