The Opportunity
The Team Leader - Family Relationships is a Full Time, Permanent role based at Frankston - Bunurong Land and provides Family Relationship services to ensure safety, connection and wellbeing for families and vulnerable children.
The Team Leader – Family Relationships provides operational leadership and management of Children's Contact Services (CCS) and Family and Relationship Services (FaRS), ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, compliant, and client-centred services. The role is responsible for team leadership, service coordination, quality assurance, stakeholder engagement, and the continuous improvement of programs to meet organisational objectives and community needs.
Key Responsibility Areas
Lead and support a skilled team delivering Children’s Contact Services and Family and Relationship Services, ensuring safe, responsive and high-quality support for children, families and carers. You will oversee day-to-day service operations, including intake, assessment, case allocation, appointments, waitlists, rosters, case planning and court-related reporting.
Provide strong operational and reflective supervision, build a positive team culture, and support staff recruitment, induction, performance and development. You will also drive quality, compliance, reporting and continuous improvement, while building effective partnerships with courts, legal representatives, community services and sector networks.

We are looking for a confident, collaborative leader with experience in family,
child and community services, and the ability to support high-performing teams delivering safe, child-focused and client-centred services. You will bring robust supervision, communication, stakeholder engagement and operational management skills, along with sound knowledge of risk assessment, case management, compliance and quality improvement. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Community Services or a related discipline are highly desirable, and experience in court-related services, program development or continuous improvement will be highly regarded.
