About the role

Mt Lewis Pizzeria is seeking a passionate and skilled Barista to join our hospitality team. This is a full-time position based in Enfield, NSW 2136. As a Barista, you will be at the heart of our customer experience, crafting exceptional specialty coffee beverages and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. You will play a vital role in delivering the quality and service standards that define Mt Lewis Pizzeria, whilst contributing to our reputation as a premier destination for food and beverage in the local community.

What you'll be doing

- Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee drinks including espresso-based beverages, cappuccinos, lattes, and flat whites to exacting standards

- Operate and maintain espresso machines and other coffee equipment, ensuring consistent quality and proper cleaning protocols

- Take customer orders accurately and provide recommendations based on their preferences

- Manage the coffee station efficiently, organising stock, beans, and supplies to maintain workflow during peak service periods

- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment, adhering to food safety and health regulations

- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, building rapport and ensuring satisfaction

- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to support seamless service delivery

- Monitor stock levels and communicate requirements to management for timely restocking

- Support promotional activities and contribute to a positive team culture

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a Barista in a hospitality setting, preferably in a café or restaurant environment

- Strong knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing techniques, and specialty drink preparation

- Competency with espresso machines and other coffee equipment

- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive interactions

- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment and manage multiple orders simultaneously





- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining consistent beverage quality

- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

- Current Food Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain one

- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

- RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification is advantageous
