About the role

You will be an integral part of our team, providing exceptional legal services to our clients in estate and succession planning.

You will spend most of your time working autonomously and with a director, with support from our estate planning senior associates, on complex estate planning files. Your responsibilities will include: conducting due diligence investigations (relating to our clients’ existing documents, circumstances and asset ownership structures) and reporting on your findings; drafting complex Wills, enduring powers of attorney and other estate planning documents; working closely with clients, referrers, accountants and financial planners to develop tailored estate plans and asset protection strategies; managing files with meticulous attention to legal and procedural detail; and bringing technical expertise to the table.

Our salary package for this role starts from 125,000 (including superannuation).

About you

Although we are looking for an estate planning lawyer, we are also happy to hear from candidates with estate administration and/or estate litigation experience.

We are looking for someone who has:





4+ years’ PAE or 2+ years’ experience in succession law and/or related areas; A desire to be more than mediocre to you want to be one of the best with a deep interest in estate planning and succession law; proven experience in Wills and estate planning; technical excellence in law; excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach; a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset; proficiency in legal practice management software (we use Action step and Net Documents); impeccable attention to detail and accuracy; and a cooperative spirit and commitment to ongoing professional development.

We are particularly interested in candidates with: a rural/farming background; experience in taxation (law or other); and/or experience in commercial transactions/property/agribusiness.
