The Company

Operating within a highly regulated environment and supplying high quality products to both domestic and export markets, our Client is seeking a quality leader to play a key role in leading its Quality Assurance function, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, regulatory and customer compliance across the operation.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Quality & Accreditations Manager, this role leads the Quality team within a highly complex environment, overseeing the day-to-day Quality function, including four Officers in Charge and a broader team of approximately 15 QA Officers.

- Lead and develop Officers in Charge and the broader QA team

- Drive compliance across food safety, quality, regulatory and customer standards

- Lead investigations, corrective actions and preventative improvement activities

- Partner closely with Operations to improve quality and food safety performance

- Support external audits, regulatory inspections and customer requirements

- Provide guidance across HACCP, approved arrangements and site procedures

- Develop team capability, training and performance across the Quality function

- Build strong relationships with operational, regulatory and leadership stakeholders

Your Background





This role will suit an experienced Quality professional who has led a broad Quality function, including supervisors and QA teams, with strong people leadership capability and experience operating within a highly regulated food manufacturing environment.

- Proven leadership experience within food manufacturing or a regulated FMCG environment

- Strong knowledge of food safety, quality and compliance systems, including HACCP

- Experience leading and developing Quality Assurance teams

- Robust understanding of regulatory and customer audit requirements

- Experience managing investigations, non-conformances and corrective actions

Experience within export food manufacturing, meat processing or another highly regulated protein environment will be highly regarded. The role also requires relevant industry certifications and a strong understanding of food safety and regulatory requirements.
