About the role
We are seeking a friendly and organised Part Time Medical Receptionist to join our team at the Salisbury Family Care located on Salisbury Plain SA 5109. This is a part-time position - usual days Thursday and Friday all day. With the flexibility to provide coverage for leave of other employees. It will involve greeting patients, scheduling appointments, liaising with doctors and providing excellent customer service to our valued clients.

What you'll be doing

- Welcoming patients and visitors to the clinic in a warm and qualified manner

- Efficiently scheduling and managing patient appointments

- Answering and directing incoming phone calls

- Maintaining accurate patient records and updating medical histories

- Assisting with general administrative tasks as required

- Ensuring the reception area is well-organised and presentable

What we're looking for

- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role

- A minimum of 3+ years of proven customer service experience is required

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with patients of all backgrounds

- Excellent time management and organisational abilities

- Proficient in using medical practice management software and Microsoft Office applications





- Medical software experience and demonstrated computer literacy with highly developed word processing and database management skills

- A friendly, professional and empathetic demeanor

- A commitment to providing high-quality patient care

- Year 12 completion or equivalent qualification is required
