Your Role in Action
n
As a key member of our maintenance team, you'll work hands‐on across Western Power's fleet of heavy vehicles and plant, ensuring reliability, safety, and operational excellence.
n
Key responsibilities include
n
n
- Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
n
- Carrying out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
n
- Performing inspections, safety checks, and compliance work
n
- Repair and ongoing maintenance of heavy vehicles and plant equipment
n
n
This role offers variety, challenge, and the opportunity to work with a wide range of contemporary equipment in a high‐performing team.
n
This role is covered under the CEPU Agreement and offers an attractive hourly base rate starting from $57.96 per hour (+ 25% Casual loading), dependent on qualifications and authorisations held. In addition, employees receive a site allowance of $2.50 per hour applied to all hours worked.

Essential skills & experience
n
n
- AQF3 Trade Qualification in Heavy Duty Mechanics, Auto Electrics, or Mechanical Fitting
n
- Proven industry experience as a Heavy Vehicle or Plant Mechanic
n
- Experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and low‐voltage electrical systems
n
- Strong teamwork skills and a reliable, proactive work ethic
n
n
Desirable licences (or willingness to obtain)
n
n
- WA HR Driver's Licence
n
- High Risk Licence – EWP
n
- High Risk Licence – Dogging
n
- High Risk Licence – Forklift
n
n
