Employment status: Permanent Full-time 1.0 FTE

Classification: Municipal Officer Level 1

Agreement: Hobart City Council Enterprise Agreement 2024

Salary range: $64,594 per annum + 13.5% superannuation.

About The Role

This role contributes to the success of the City by supporting the fair, safe and effective use of the City's parking facilities through the enforcement of parking regulations and the provision of helpful information and assistance to the community.

Role Accountabilities Include

- Work a Tuesday to Saturday roster as required under the Enterprise Bargaining Agreement, providing responsive service delivery and operational support during designated business hours.
- Patrol on-street and off-street parking areas across Hobart.
- Issue parking infringements accurately and in accordance with relevant legislation.
- Provide high-quality customer service and parking information to residents and visitors.
- Respond professionally to public enquiries and challenging situations.
- Monitor and report faults with parking infrastructure, signage and enforcement assets.
- Assist customers within Council-operated parking facilities when required.

About You

You are a confident and resilient individual who enjoys working outdoors and engaging with a diverse range of people. You have strong communication and customer service skills, can remain professional in difficult situations and are comfortable applying policies, procedures and legislation consistently and fairly. The successful applicant will be able to work independently with minimal supervision,



exercise sound judgement and demonstrate a commitment to delivering positive outcomes for the community. You will hold a current Driver Licence and Registration to Work with Vulnerable People, have the ability to walk significant distances throughout the day and be willing to work additional hours, including weekends, when required. Experience in compliance, regulatory services, enforcement or customer-focused environments will be highly regarded.
