- Office location based in Royal Botanic Garden Sydney (Sydney CBD) with flexible working supported
- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $116,981 to $129,492 + super

The role

Join Botanic Gardens of Sydney and help create memorable experiences across some of Sydney’s most iconic venues. In this role, you'll drive venue hire sales, build strong relationships with corporate and private clients, and work closely with stakeholders to deliver exceptional events that balance customer needs with the protection and integrity of the Gardens. You'll manage multiple bookings and events at any one time, identify new business opportunities, oversee venue operations and lead a small team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer experiences. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, growing business opportunities and working in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

About you

- Strong experience in event sales, venue management, hospitality or corporate events, with the ability to grow business opportunities and deliver outstanding customer experiences.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships, negotiate outcomes and manage competing customer and operational needs.
- Proven organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple bookings,



priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience managing budgets, contracts, sales targets and revenue‑generating opportunities.
- A proactive and cooperative leadership style, with the ability to lead teams, solve problems and deliver quality outcomes for customers and the organisation.

What is an essential requirement

- Demonstrated experience in a similar role within an exhibition, events, venue, or hotel business.
- Ability to work and/or be contactable outside of normal work hours, during holiday periods and on weekends.
