We're seeking an experienced Employment lawyer to join LOD and work on assignment with one of our clients.

In this role, you’ll provide practical, commercially focused advice across a broad range of employment, industrial relations and workplace matters. Working closely with senior leaders, HR teams and key decision makers, you'll advise on both strategic and day-to-day employment issues, including sensitive and high risk matters requiring sound judgement and a pragmatic approach.

This opportunity is available immediately. Full‑time availability is preferred. However, at LOD, you choose the work pattern that suits your lifestyle. Let us know what works for you, as we’re open to part‑time and flexible arrangements.

You'll:

have a minimum of 5 years' PQE with strong employment law experience gained in‑house and/or within a mid‑tier or top‑tier law firm;

have experience advising on disciplinary processes, employee grievances and complaints, misconduct matters and workplace investigations;

possess a strong understanding of employment legislation, industrial instruments and workplace policies;

have experience advising on performance management, discrimination, equal opportunity, human rights and privacy matters arising in an employment context;

be confident providing advice directly to senior executives, decisionmakers and HR stakeholders;

be able to provide practical, commercially focused and risk‑based advice rather than purely technical legal analysis; and

have the ability to hit the ground running and manage matters with minimal supervision.
