The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, this role will play a key part in the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting across a complex and diverse group. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and commercially minded Financial Accountant who enjoys working across a broad range of corporate accounting, treasury, reporting and financial control responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Month-end close, including journals, general ledger management and preparation of financial results
- Assisting with the preparation and consolidation of monthly financial statements and management reporting
- Weekly cashflow monitoring, forecasting and treasury reporting
- Preparation of bank covenant compliance documentation
- Balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of intercompany loan and investment reconciliations
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, including cashflow and balance sheet forecasting
- Assisting with statutory reporting and the preparation of financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards
- Supporting year-end audit requirements and the Group's income tax obligations
- Reviewing realised and unrealised gains and losses from hedging transactions
- Working closely with stakeholders across the finance function and international subsidiaries
- Developing and maintaining reporting templates and dashboards using Excel and Power BI
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting and the efficiency of the month-end close
About You
You will be a CA or CPA qualified finance professional with strong technical accounting skills and the ability to operate effectively in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- CA or CPA qualification, or equivalent
- Experience in financial or corporate accounting within a medium to large organisation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling
- Experience with Power BI and financial reporting tools
- Exposure to ERP systems such as NetSuite or Dynamics 365 will be highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organisation
- Solid attention to detail, combined with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- A proactive mindset and genuine interest in improving systems, processes and reporting
Experience within the automotive, mobility, energy, infrastructure or technology sectors will be advantageous but is not essential.
