Engineering Trades Australia is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing operation based in Yatala.
This is a great opportunity for a trade-qualified fitter looking for stable Monday-Friday work, consistent hours and no weekend shifts, within a small and experienced maintenance team.
The Opportunity
- Location: Yatala, QLD
- Hours:38 hours per week
- Monday-Thursday:6:30am - 2:30pm
- Friday:6:00am - 1:00pm
- Overtime:Available, generally 2-8 hours as required
- Pay:$62.50-$68.75/hr + super

About the Role
Working as part of a small maintenance team, you will be responsible for keeping production equipment and plant operating safely and efficiently.
The role will involve a combination ofpreventative maintenance, breakdown maintenance, fault finding, repairs and general mechanical maintenanceacross a busy manufacturing workplace.
Equipment and systems include:
- Compressors
- Pumps
- Hydraulic control systems
- Production machinery
- Mechanical plant and equipment
- General workshop and maintenance equipment
About You
We are ideally looking for an experienced Maintenance / Mechanical Fitter with:
- 7+ years' maintenance experience ideally
- Strong manufacturing or production environment experience
- Proven preventative and breakdown maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience with hydraulics, pumps, conveyors and compressors
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a small team
- Robust safety awareness and a practical approach to problem solving
Highly Desirable
The following tickets and experience will be viewed favourably:
- Working at Heights
- EWP
- Previous supervisory or leading hand experience
Supervisory experience isn't essential, but would be highly regarded and may provide opportunities to take on additional responsibility within the team.
