What's on offer?

Reporting to the Regional Manager Infrastructure Services, you will be responsible for all strategic, safety, operational and financial aspects of civil works based in Eight Mile Plains, QLD. Driving a culture of continuous improvement to ensure efficient delivery, you will create an environment which is open, transparent, and accountable. Your ambition to lead and mentor a team, will be demonstrated by your guidance and support to ensure individual development, growth, and high performance.

You will be an accomplished and agile operational leader with solid technical skills, effective leadership, and a high level of commercial and financial acumen. Effective communication, enthusiasm, professionalism, and the ability to influence at all levels is essential. You will have proven evidence of delivering results in a fast-paced environment and the ability to drive a safety-first approach across the business in line with Fulton Hogan's "Living Safely" Culture.

Your Contribution:

- Solid management experience, ideally demonstrating full accountability, for all commercial, financial, leadership and operational aspects of a civils business.




- Proven leadership qualities - the ability to lead change whilst driving team engagement.
- The commercial acumen to improve business performance in challenging markets.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Be responsible for the overall operations and performance of the Civil Department ensuring compliance to all health and safety, quality, and environmental legislation and company procedures.
- Drive a safety-first approach across the department in line with Fulton Hogan's "Living Safely" Culture.
- Complete commercial and financial monthly cost reviews of ensuring forecasted costs are accurately completed across all projects.
- Recruit and onboard staff to drive the successful implementation of the civil services department.
- Understand market trends and movements, and work closely with the estimating team to secure a sustainable and strategic pipeline of future works.
- Develop new business opportunities from inception through to operation and provide ongoing management and leadership to the team.
- Assist in the selection and procurement of plant and equipment.
- Report and provide analysis of department spend on projects and detail opportunities for improvement with a focus on self-performing works.
