The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day financial management and commercial administration of Channel, ensuring the business maintains strong financial discipline, accurate cash flow forecasting and productive financial operations. Acting as the primary liaison between Channel and its external accountants, this role coordinates all financial information required for BAS, tax planning, financial reporting and compliance while providing the Director with accurate, timely financial information to support strategic business decisions. The Finance Manager oversees the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, manages client invoicing and payment scheduling, supports proactive cash flow planning and plays a key role in maintaining the financial health of the business.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the day-to-day financial administration of the business
- Prepare and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts
- Monitor business cash flow and identify risks and opportunities
- Prepare monthly financial summaries and management reporting
- Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare, schedule and issue client invoices in accordance with project milestones




- Monitor debtor balances and proactively follow up outstanding invoices
- Review supplier invoices for accuracy and approval and schedule supplier payments
- Act as Channel's primary point of contact with external accountants and coordinate all information required for BAS preparation
- Develop and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts and monitor future liabilities and funding requirements

About you

- Minimum five years' experience in a Finance Manager, Senior Bookkeeper or equivalent financial management role within a small or medium-sized business
- Strong understanding of cash flow management and financial planning
- Experience preparing information for BAS, tax reporting and year-end financial requirements
- Experience managing accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Advanced experience with Xero and Microsoft Excel
- Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and confidently support business owners with financial decision making
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- High of integrity and confidentiality
