An excellent opportunity has become available for a Commercial Litigation & Insolvency Lawyer to join a growing Melbourne CBD practice.
We are seeking a commercially minded lawyer with approximately 3-5 years PAE who is looking to develop their career across sophisticated disputes and insolvency matters while gaining genuine responsibility and direct client exposure.
The Opportunity
Working closely with experienced senior lawyers, you will be involved in a broad range of matters including:
- Commercial litigation and complex disputes
- Corporate and personal insolvency matters
- Debt recovery and enforcement proceedings
- Creditor and debtor disputes
- Construction-related disputes
- Court proceedings, mediations and negotiations
- Drafting pleadings, affidavits, submissions and other legal documents
- Managing matters and liaising directly with clients, counsel and other stakeholders
About You
You will ideally have:
- Approximately 3-5 years PAE
- Experience in commercial litigation and/or insolvency
- Strong drafting and technical legal skills
- Experience managing litigation matters from commencement through to resolution
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and counsel
- Solid communication, organisation and time-management skills
- A commercial and practical approach to resolving disputes
- A genuine interest in building your career in litigation and insolvency
