About the role:
An exciting 12month fixed term prospect to lead our independent retirement living communities in Melbourne's East.
In this role you will be responsible for the operational requirements of our independent living communities within the Eastern portfolio. You will ensure a quality, customer-focused service for our residents living in our communities in Melbourne's East comprising of 150 living units.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as the first point of contact for all general enquiries, property management and apartment resales to achieve and maintain optimal occupancy, and foster a supportive,
welcoming and engaging environment for residents and their guests
- Ensure staff supervision is effective and in line with Uniting AgeWell policies, procedures and expectations
- Ensure complaints and disputes are managed and resolved efficiently and effectively and in line with Uniting Age Well's obligations.
- Ensure budgets are maintained within their portfolio (Resident & Minor works Budgets)
- Support and drive customer engagement and activation within communities
This is the place for you if you have:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Retirement or housing related environment supervision or relevant industry experience (desirable)
- Experience and expertise in relating to and managing a diverse range of people with a strong focus on customer service
- Understanding of the financial aspects of apartments and housing
- Excellent knowledge and experience in the Hotel environment/retirement village or residential aged care with a commitment to high standards of care for residents
- Experience in relating to a diverse range of people
- Willingness to be flexible in responding to requests and being the first point of contact for Residents, visitors and other Uniting AgeWell staff
Essentials for working in Aged Care:
- Acurrent Working With Children's Check (VIC) or willingness to obtain one
- Full Australian working rights
- A current Police Records Check/NDIS Clearance or be willing to undertake this process
- Current flu and ongoing vaccinations as required
