Senior Program Manager - Insurance Product & Technology

10-Month Contract | Sydney

Advance Thinking is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead a significant insurance product and technology initiative within a leading General Insurance organisation.

n

This is a senior, highly visible leadership role responsible for overseeing the technology delivery of a new insurance product, working across business, product, technology, external partners and executive leadership.

n

We are looking for a seasoned delivery leader who can provide strategic oversight while remaining hands-on and delivery focused when required.

n

The Opportunity

n

You will take ownership of a complex, multi-stream program and lead Project Managers and broader delivery teams to take a new insurance product from business and product requirements through technology build and implementation.

n

This role requires someone who can comfortably operate across General Insurance, technology delivery and executive leadership.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

- Lead end-to-end delivery of a major insurance product technology program
n
- Manage multiple projects and interconnected workstreams
n
- Lead and support Project Managers and multidisciplinary delivery teams
n
- Translate product and business requirements into technology delivery outcomes
n
- Manage complex dependencies across business, technology and external partners
n




- Establish strong program governance and delivery disciplines
n
- Manage program financials, risks, issues and delivery performance
n
- Lead senior and executive stakeholder engagement
n
- Work across business GM, technology GM and executive leadership levels
n
- Navigate complex and challenging stakeholder environments
n
- Provide hands-on delivery leadership when required
n
- Drive teams towards transparent business and technology outcomes
n

What We're Looking For

- Significant Senior Program Management experience
n
- Strong General Insurance experience
n
- Demonstrated experience delivering insurance products
n
- Strong technology transformation background
n
- Experience leading complex, multi-stream programs
n
- Experience managing Project Managers and large delivery teams
n
- Exceptional executive stakeholder management
n
- Strong commercial, financial and governance capability
n
- Insurance platform transformation experience
n
- Guidewire experience highly regarded
n
- A proactive, hands‐on delivery mindset
n

This is not a governance‐only Program Manager role. The successful candidate will be comfortable overseeing a significant program while rolling up their sleeves and getting directly involved when delivery requires it.

Location: Sydney - strongly preferred

n

Duration: 10 months

n

Rate: Competitive market rates
