Job Description: Gold Coast Disability and Youth is seeking a highly motivated NDIS Housing Manager to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in supporting our NDIS clients and liaising with our rostering team to ensure adequate supports are in place.
Responsibilities: The NDIS Housing Manager is responsible for the direct delivery of tenancy and property management services within the Housing programs team. The work you do will impact the quality of life for our clients and contribute to a positive impact in the community.
As part of your daily tasks, you will:
Conduct detailed assessments of NDIS participants' housing needs and preferences.
Provide ongoing support and case management to ensure participants achieve and maintain suitable housing.
Oversee and ensure support goals, standards and expectations are being met.
Manage a portfolio of diverse housing stock including the management of; housing allocations, behaviour management, rent management and referral advice.
Minimise rental loss and property damage, maintaining required standards, and optimise cost recovery for rechargeable repairs.
Promote, encourage, and facilitate tenant participation; promote feedback and complaints processes and record and report on activities.
Maintain assets to an appropriate standard; establish and maintain long-term and cyclical maintenance programs for properties.
Conduct periodic property inspections; work with relevant stakeholders to deliver effective and timely responsive maintenance services.
Maintain tenant and property records in accordance with organisational procedures and legislative requirements; analyse data and report on changing needs and program trends; assist to monitor and report on rent, bonds, and client repayments.
Requirements:
Relevant field qualifications in housing of vulnerable people and/or NDIS support.
Proven experience in coordinating housing, preferably within the disability or youth sector.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with participants, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
Highly organised with excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Ability to work collaboratively and build partnerships with community organisations, funders, and service providers.
Sound understanding of program evaluation and quality improvement methodologies.
Efficiently manage a high volume of administrative tasks while maintaining accuracy and organisation.
Work Location: Nerang and Beenleigh – working across both sites as required.
