Regional Manager - Civil or Structural Engineering

The opportunity

A privately owned Australian engineering consultancy is re-defining its Regional Victorian branch, based in Greater Shepparton. We are looking for someone to lead it: civil and structural services across subdivisions, industrial redevelopments, defence work and municipal upgrades.

Here, you lead, with room to grow the role and the remuneration alongside it as the office develops. The starting package sits between $160k and $200k plus super, with a bonus structure tied to office performance.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll run the office day to day: people, clients, pipeline, delivery.

You’ll be a local engineer or someone willing to relocate permanently. With this, brings the chance for business development. Existing client relationships need protecting and growing; regional networks need activating; new work needs chasing.

You’ll be someone comfortable in a client facing role.

As either a Civil Engineer or a Structural Engineer, you’ll also be able to manage projects and whilst you may not need to, you may still love being involved technically. You don’t have to leave your technical love, to make this role work.





The person we need

Technical credibility matters, but it's not the whole story here. We need someone who can sit across a table from a council engineer in the morning and a junior struggling with workload in the afternoon, and bring the same steadiness to both conversations.

We seek people leadership with empathy; not softness, just the kind of leadership where people feel backed rather than managed. Someone who coaches rather than corrects.

The person we need - the pointy end

- Civil or Structural Engineering degree
- Consulting background - with a minimum of 10 years' experience, ideally closer to 20.
- With a plethora of local knowledge and ideally, connections
- Ability to be flexible across all types of projects and not stuck on one
- Who enjoys shaping careers
