Are you an experienced logistics or asset management professional who enjoys bringing order to complex, large-scale projects?
We are seeking a Logistics & Asset Management Coordinator to join a major national infrastructure program within a high-profile Federal Government organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in coordinating the movement, management and lifecycle of technical equipment being deployed across an extensive network of sites throughout Australia.
Working closely with project, engineering, technical and operational teams, you will ensure equipment and materials are prepared, tracked and available in the right place at the right time to support successful project delivery. The chance Reporting to the Project Manager, you will coordinate end-to-end logistics and asset management activities across a complex infrastructure upgrade program. This will see you working across equipment movements, inventory, asset data, deployment schedules and operational handovers while collaborating with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating the receipt, storage, dispatch, distribution and tracking of equipment, materials and spare parts
- Managing equipment delivery schedules in line with project and site deployment requirements
- Coordinating equipment preparation, testing, calibration and release activities with technical teams
- Establishing, maintaining and quality-assuring asset registers, equipment records and inventory information
- Maintaining accurate records covering asset location, status,
ownership, configuration and deployment history
- Working with engineering and technical specialists to capture equipment specifications and asset relationships
- Coordinating with operational teams to ensure sites are ready for equipment delivery and deployment
- Supporting post-deployment asset reconciliation and operational handover
- Monitoring logistics risks, issues and dependencies and coordinating timely resolutionsEnsuring asset information remains accurate and aligned across project and operational systems.
About you
We are looking for someone who combines strong logistics coordination experience with hands-on asset management capability. You will be comfortable working with large volumes of equipment and asset data while coordinating multiple schedules, stakeholders and competing priorities.
Ideally, you will bring
- Demonstrated experience coordinating logistics within complex projects, infrastructure programs, field deployments or equipment rollouts
- Experience managing physical assets throughout their lifecycle, including commissioning, deployment, transfer, maintenance and handover
- Strong experience maintaining asset registers, inventory records or equipment databases
- Confidence using enterprise asset management, inventory or similar systems,
alongside Microsoft Office
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience working with project teams, technical specialists, suppliers, contractors and operational teams
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail when managing asset and equipment information.
Experience within infrastructure, telecommunications, utilities, engineering, defence, aviation, field services or other technical asset environments would be particularly valuable.
