Our Lady of Mercy College Parramatta is an independent Catholic school for girls, founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1889 and entrusted to Mercy Partners in 2021. The opportunity

This full-time, three-term contract from Term 1 to Term 3, 2027 is ideal for an educator with experience in Stages 4-5 Science who is eager to inspire curiosity, deliver engaging, syllabus-aligned lessons, and provide constructive feedback that supports student reflection and growth. Central to this teaching role is a commitment to nurturing the gifts, talents, and aspirations of every student. The successful applicant will embrace and promote the Catholic identity of the College, ensuring that Catholic values and the Mercy tradition are reflected in all aspects of school life, learning, and leadership.

What are we looking for?

- Relevant tertiary qualifications to teach Science in NSW.
- Experience teaching Stages 4 - 5 Science.
- Capacity to critically reflect and adjust teaching practice to improve learning outcomes.
- Capacity to establish a supportive environment conducive to effective student learning.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, administrative, organisational and team-oriented working skills.




- Flexibility and adaptability to the teaching requirements of the College.
- Willingness to actively support and participate in the life of the College, and the Catholic mission and Mercy values of the College.
- Willingness to participate in the co-curricular life of the College (noting that there are no regular weekend sporting commitments).
- Hold a current Working with Children Check number.
- Have appropriate NESA accreditation.

- Full-time Teaching Contract for Terms 1-3, 2027 to cover Parental Leave.
