The Role

As an Immigration Lawyer, you will provide strategic legal advice and representation across a range of Australian immigration matters, with a particular focus on employer-sponsored visa programs.

Working from our Riverina office, you will manage your own matters while collaborating closely with colleagues across the firm on complex and high-value cases. You will play an important role in supporting businesses experiencing critical skill shortages and helping clients navigate Australia's migration framework with confidence.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Assessing client eligibility across employer-sponsored and skilled migration pathways.
- Preparing and reviewing visa applications, submissions and supporting documentation.
- Providing practical and commercially focused immigration advice.
- Managing a diverse case load while maintaining high standards of client service.
- Liaising with clients, government agencies and other stakeholders.
- Monitoring legislative and policy developments and advising clients accordingly.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and helping enhance firm processes and systems.
- Collaborating with colleagues to solve complex legal and procedural issues.

About You





You are an enthusiastic and client-focused lawyer who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is motivated by both professional excellence and continuous learning.

You will ideally have:

- Solid knowledge of Australian immigration law, particularly employer-sponsored and skilled migration programs.
- The ability to interpret and apply legislation, regulations and policy with confidence.
- Excellent legal research, analytical and drafting skills.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in clear, practical language.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Experience managing multiple matters and competing priorities effectively.
- A client-centric approach with excellent relationship-building abilities.
- Sound professional judgment, integrity and discretion.
- Confidence working independently while also contributing positively within a team environment.
- A willingness to embrace technology, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Admission as an Australian legal practitioner (or eligibility for admission).
- Experience in immigration law, administrative law or regulatory practice will be highly regarded.
- An understanding of business sponsorship requirements and the workforce challenges faced by Australian employers will be viewed favourably.
