About the Role

Reporting to the Lead Control Systems Engineer within the WAIO Control Systems Team, this role provides 24 x 7 first response control systems support for breakdowns and investigations in our Fixed Plant assets across WAIO Mines, to ensure IROC Controllers operate equipment in the safest and most efficient manner; Implements improvement projects to achieve safer and more reliable process control thereby maintaining and improving process efficiencies, in line with our business plan.

Duties will include:

- Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
- Provide first response investigation and resolution of control systems breakdowns to the operation to ensure business continuity and minimise downtime.
- Provide Control Room Operator (CRO) coaching to improve control systems understanding and asset operation, as well as quantify improvement opportunities.
- Proactively monitor Supply Chain performance and raise improvement opportunities.
- Implement minor control systems improvement projects to reduce risk, reduce cost and increase productivity.

This position is based in our Perth Office and will work on our Lifestyle Roster, working a rotatingpattern of day and night shifts.





Employees on this roster enjoy two full weekends off out of four and will align to the following shift rotation: 2D2N5X, 2D3N4X, 3D2N5X. You will benefit from additional shift allowances, as part of your remuneration package. As an added benefit, those on a Lifestyle Roster will also enjoy an additional week of annual leave per year.

About You

- We’re looking for individuals who are passionate, eager to learn and committed to making a positive impact. Whether you’re an experienced Control Systems Engineer or someone with transferable skills and a strong desire to grow in this field, we want to hear from you.
- You may have qualifications such as a degree in Electrical, Mechatronic, or Control Systems Engineering, or relevant trade qualifications. Experience with PLCs (particularly Allen Bradley RSLogix5000 or Studio5000) and SCADA systems like Citect is highly valuable, as is relevant industry experience.
- Ideally, you will have experience working within large scale bulk handling operations, encompassing crushing, screening, stacking, reclaiming, automated train loading and unloading, and ship loading operations in the past, though not essential.
- As the successful candidate, you will be highly organised and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (including root-cause analysis) with the ability to prioritise effectively in a high-pressure environment.
