About The Role And Where You Will Be Working
Join the SNF Plus Pilot and make a meaningful difference to children and families across Greater Newcastle.
Based at Wallsend, you’ll be part of an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team supporting vulnerable families. You’ll bring your expertise to weekly case reviews, provide clinical consultation, and work directly with families through home visits and telehealth.
With outreach across the Greater Newcastle area, this is an opportunity to use your skills in a collaborative, family-centred service where your expertise can make a real difference
About You
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dietitian with expertise in infant and child nutrition, growth and development, breastfeeding, feeding challenges and the introduction of solids.
You will bring a family-centred, evidence‑based approach, with the ability to identify concerns early, build strong relationships with families and empower parents and carers to achieve the best possible outcomes for their children.
You will be a compassionate, collaborative and innovative clinician who thrives working as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role is well supported by the Child and Family Health leadership, Allied Health and Child and Family Health Nursing teams.
Orientation and support will be provided on commencement. All Dietitians are required to maintain mandatory education requirements.
Requirements
Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.

- An eligibility list will be created for future temporary part time vacancies.
- To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.
