Senior Psychologist / Clinic Lead – Child & NDIS

Join a genuinely supportive psychology team

CBT Professionals is looking for an experienced Psychologist to join our established Gold Coast team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, adolescents and families and wants to be part of a strong, collaborative and supportive team culture .

You will step into an established child and NDIS caseload , with no need to build your diary from scratch.

For the right person, there is also the opportunity to step into a Senior Psychologist / Clinic Lead role with protected time for clinical leadership, supervision and mentoring.

We are open to appointing at different levels depending on experience:

Registered Psychologist: approximately $60–$68 per hour + super

Senior Psychologist: approximately $68–$72 per hour + super

Senior Psychologist / Clinic Lead: up to $75 per hour + super

The role

Your clinical work will include evidence-based assessment and intervention with children, adolescents and families presenting with concerns such as:

ADHD and neurodevelopmental presentations

emotional and behavioural difficulties

anxiety and mood concerns

parenting and family support

NDIS-funded psychological intervention

more complex or treatment-resistant presentations

For candidates interested in the Clinic Lead component, responsibilities may also include:

supporting and mentoring psychologists

providing clinical consultation on complex cases

contributing to supervision and career development

supporting high standards of clinical practice

assisting with onboarding and clinician development

contributing to a positive and connected team culture

working alongside our Director and management team on clinical matters

This is a clinical leadership role, not an administrative management role . Reception, HR, accounts and general clinic operations are supported by our established management team.

Our clinicians collaborate, share knowledge, seek consultation and support one another with challenging cases. We want our psychologists to feel part of a team rather than working in isolation.

You will walk into an active referral stream and established client base.

Remuneration is offered at $60–$75 per hour plus superannuation , depending on experience and the scope of the role.

Protected leadership time

For those taking on Clinic Lead responsibilities, supervision, mentoring and clinical leadership are recognised as genuine parts of the role and allocated appropriate non-client time.

Our experienced reception, Practice Management, Operations and HR teams support the day-to-day running of the practice so psychologists can focus primarily on clinical work.

Flexibility

We are seeking someone for 30–38 hours per week and are happy to discuss how those hours are structured.

About you

hold General Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA

have experience working with children and adolescents

are confident with behavioural and neurodevelopmental presentations

enjoy working collaboratively with families

value evidence-based psychological practice

are warm, approachable and team-focused

enjoy supporting colleagues or are interested in developing leadership skills

Experience working with NDIS participants is highly desirable.

Board-approved supervisor status is also highly desirable for the Clinic Lead component, although we are open to supporting the right senior psychologist to further develop their supervision and leadership skills.
