About The Role
The Senior Project Officer, Industry Engagement supports the growth of Victoria's rolling stock industry and supply chain. The role leads initiatives to strengthen local manufacturing, manages local content obligations under the Local Jobs First Act 2003, and identifies opportunities to increase local supply chain capability.
The role works closely with rolling stock project teams, manufacturers, industry representatives and government agencies to improve processes and ensure local content requirements are met. It also leads supply chain mapping, supports workforce and skills initiatives, maintains robust industry relationships, and provides project support for the administration of local content requirements.
What we're looking for (Selection Criteria)
- Brings strong project and program governance skills, establishing effective processes, facilitating decisions and ensuring compliance with governance requirements.
- Communicates clearly and with impact, tailoring messages and presentations to different audiences to support understanding and informed decision-making.
- Demonstrates strong commercial and business acumen, managing costs,
understanding supplier arrangements and ensuring commitments are delivered effectively.
- Works collaboratively and builds capability, supporting colleagues, sharing knowledge and providing coaching and feedback to develop others.
- Applies sound critical thinking and problem-solving skills, using evidence, guidelines and judgement to resolve issues and make informed decisions.
Qualifications And Experience
You'll bring:
- Tertiary qualifications would be well regarded.
- A current Victorian driver's licence with no restrictions that would prevent you from performing the requirements of the role
