About the role

Seabridge Logistics Group is looking for an experienced Exports Operator to join our Brisbane team.

This is an opportunity for an accomplished air and sea freight all‑rounder who knows how to take ownership of shipments, solve problems and get things done. We’re looking for someone who brings more than strong forwarding knowledge, you’ll have sound commercial judgement, communicate confidently with customers and suppliers, and understand the importance of both operational performance and commercial outcomes.

The role offers broad exposure across our forwarding operation and would suit someone who enjoys being accountable for their work, contributing to improvements and becoming a trusted senior member of the team.

What you’ll be doing

Manage air and sea freight import and export shipments from booking through to completion

Coordinate with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines,



airlines, transport providers and other stakeholders

Proactively manage exceptions, delays and operational issues through to resolution

Review freight costs, vendor charges, job profitability and execute quotations where required

Identify commercial risks and opportunities within day-to-day forwarding activities

Provide practical solutions that balance service, cost and operational requirements

Build strong relationships with customers and become a trusted point of contact

Support procurement, rate management and supplier negotiations where required

Contribute to process improvements, systems utilisation and operational efficiency

Support and mentor less-experienced team members

Work collaboratively across the exports department, customs, sales and management

What we’re looking for

You’ll already have solid freight forwarding experience and be comfortable operating independently across a busy portfolio.

Ideally, you will bring:

Proven freight forwarding experience across air and sea freight

The ability to autonomously manage shipments end‑to‑end

Strong problem-solving skills and a reputation for following issues through to completion

Commercial sensibility – across stakeholder management, procurement and operational decision-making

Excellent organisation and the ability to prioritise in a quick‑moving environment





A proactive mindset - you identify what needs to happen and take ownership of making it happen

Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the broader commercial and customer outcome

The ability to positively influence, support and mentor others

Cargowise experience is preferable

Technical forwarding experience is important, but how you operate is equally significant.

We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, follows through on commitments and maintains momentum. Someone who can make sensible decisions, communicate early when something isn’t going to plan, and find solutions rather than simply escalating problems.
