How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:
n
The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do.

- Design and analyse fluid and mechanical components/subsystems for hybrid and liquid rocket engines
n
- Develop CAD models and drawings of test stands and rocket engine components
n
- Formulate hardware test plans, support test campaigns, and evaluate experimental test results
n
- Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analyses
n
- Assist/lead qualification tests of propulsion components/subsystems
n
- Develop written procedures and checklist for performing test operations
n
- Guide the development of written procedures for manufacturing components
n
- Coordinate the fabrication,
assembly and integration of propulsion system elements
n
- Support launch preparations and launch operations, as needed
n
- Perform other duties as requested by Management
n
n
Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
n
n
- Bachelors (BS) degree in an Engineering discipline
n
- 5+ years of experience in propulsion, mechanical, fluid system design and analysis in a professional setting (excluding internships)
n
- 3+ years' experience with CAD designing parts and assemblies(NX/Teamcenter preferred, but other relevant experience is valuable), or
n
- 3+ years' experience with at least one commercial FEA or Multiphysics simulation package (ANSYS preferred or NASTRAN, ABAQUS, CFD codes, etc.)
n
- 3+ years' hands-on hardware experience performing fabrication, assembly, integration and testing.
n
- NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred
n
n
Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
n
n
- 3+ years' experience of professional experience in rocket propulsion
n
- Knowledge of standards concerning the design of high-pressure fluid systems
n
- Ability to manage large assembly models and drawings
n
- Solid understanding and application of GD&T; standards to design and manufacturing processes
n
- Ability to work well in an integrated team including daily interactions with technicians, engineers, and managers
n
- Creative problem solver that can bring multiple disciplines together
n
- Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work workplace
n
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
n
