We're looking for a Purchasing and Inventory Supervisor to join our Botany team and lead purchasing, inventory control, goods receiving and supplier management activities.

n

In this role, you'll help ensure the uninterrupted supply of materials required to support manufacturing, fulfilment and business growth, while keeping inventory accurate and available across packaging, consumables, ingredients, finished goods and green coffee. You'll also be in charge of optimising stock holdings, manage replenishment, minimise waste and working capital, and support production continuity.

We're looking for someone who's comfortable working with ERP systems, forecasts, inventory data, cycle counts, supplier issues and receiving discrepancies, and someone who knows how to turn data into practical actions that support the wider business.

Key Responsibilities

n

Source and purchase raw materials, packaging, consumables and other required supplies in line with quality, cost and delivery requirements.

n

Support supplier onboarding, qualification, contract discussions, service level agreements and collaborative supplier partnerships.

n

Lead and support supplier performance reviews to improve service, quality, sustainability, risk and cost outcomes.

n

Maintain category strategies, dual or multi-sourcing plans and purchasing records through the ERP system as the single source of truth.

n

Own inventory management across green coffee, packaging, consumables, ingredients and finished goods.

n

Partner with Commercial, Roasting and Fulfilment teams on green coffee inventory, stock forecasting, raw materials, replenishment planning and inventory health.

n

Lead cycle counts, inventory reviews and stocktake programs to improve accuracy, identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and reduce waste.

n

Investigate and resolve supplier delivery discrepancies, quality issues, receiving exceptions and inventory variances promptly.

Prepare reports & present insights that support leadership reviews, operational decisions, budgeting and forecasting.

n

Ensure purchasing, inventory and receiving procedures are documented, maintained, regularly reviewed and audit ready.

n

Act as the business owner for procurement and inventory processes within NetSuite.

n

Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement and inventory processes, improve transaction accuracy, and support business scalability.

We'll Love You If You Have

n

3+ years' experience in purchasing, inventory management, supply chain or procurement, including supervisory or leadership exposure.

n

Advanced ERP experience, preferably NetSuite, across purchasing, inventory, forecasting and transaction accuracy.

n

Strong commercial awareness, supplier negotiation and stakeholder management capability.

n

Confident analysing inventory trends and translating data into practical operational actions.

n

Knowledge of WHS, food safety, traceability, documentation discipline and audit readiness.

n

Experience with BI dashboards, process improvement, automation or a growing business environment is highly regarded.

n

A current forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one, is a bonus.
