Are you a commercially sharp business development professional with technical know-how in the building industry? Do you thrive on identifying new opportunities, building lasting relationships, and turning market insight into real revenue growth? Ausdeck Building Systems is looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join our team in Richlands and take our product portfolio into new markets.

What You'll Do

Develop deep technical knowledge of Ausdeck's full product range and confidently communicate specifications, applications, and unique selling points to customers

Identify and pursue new sales opportunities across market segments, driving revenue growth and exceeding targets

Spot new markets where our current product range isn't yet represented, and build strategies to grow into them

Monitor market trends, legislative compliance, and competitor activity to stay ahead of the game

Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, representing Ausdeck at industry forums, conferences, and networking events

Develop compelling, commercially sound business proposals and cases — backing your pitch with real analysis of risk, return, and strategic value

Negotiate and draft commercial contracts, ensuring favourable terms and legal compliance

Maintain sales dashboards and report on performance, trends, and opportunities to senior management

Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and other departments to deliver a joined-up approach to growth





What You Bring

Minimum 5 years' proven experience in business development, ideally with strong technical exposure to the building products industry

A track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing key accounts

Strong commercial acumen - comfortable evaluating opportunities, building business cases, and negotiating contracts

Comprehensive knowledge of the Australian building products market and current industry trends

Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills, technical and non-technical audiences alike

Experience planning and implementing change management initiatives in a sales context (desirable)
