Clinical Operations Lead / Allied Health Team Lead - Senior OT or Speech Path

$110,000 – $125,000 per year + Super + Travel

Most allied health team leader and management roles ask you to trade your clinical work for a desk. This one is majority clinical by design: around three days a week of protected senior caseload, two days leading the operational core of a growing practice.

About us

Intracare is a clinician-led allied health provider built deliberately around clinician wellbeing and sustainable, high-quality care. We have grown to around twenty client-facing clinicians across occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech pathology, with a predominantly complex NDIS caseload and a referral base built almost entirely on word of mouth.

Clinician-owned and clinician-led - no board, no management layers, decisions made quickly by people who still see clients and understand the work

The role

Clinical - around 3 days, protected:

A substantial, ring-fenced senior caseload with continuity cover

Complex case input, growing into clinical risk triage over time

Your clinical presence keeps us connected to our referral base

The escalation point where things stop - operational issues resolved, clinical matters routed to supervision





Accountability for compliance, complaints and incident management

Day-to-day line management, quarterly KPI check-ins and recruitment

Sign-off on the systems and processes that keep the practice running

An operations and admin team beneath you

Looking to explore an AI knowledge system answering the team's procedural questions - so their leader doesn't have to be the memory bank

As our automation matures, the clinical share of this role is expected to grow, not shrink

About you

Senior Occupational Therapist with significant clinical experience (Speech Pathology considered). Approximately 5 to 10 years is the sweet spot

Passionate about retaining substantial clinical work - this role keeps you practising three days a week by design

Strong industry, referrer and stakeholder relationships, and the credibility to represent the practice externally

A genuine track record of building and implementing systems and processes in an allied health or NDIS setting





Experience line-managing people, including the harder conversations - here, supervision holds the development and this role holds the accountability, by design

Highly capable and proactive, with the discipline to distinguish high-value work from white noise, and the confidence to say no to the latter

Robust values and integrity, with clear alignment to a clinician-led, anti-burnout, quality-first philosophy on billing and utilisation

AI forward and receptive to AI implementation within workflows

Comfortable being office-anchored 3 days (flexible hours) as a visible, accessible leader

Desirable

Formal management training or team leadership in a multidisciplinary setting; familiarity with Splose and Microsoft 365, and comfort working with AI-assisted knowledge and documentation systems; experience across funding bodies beyond the NDIS.

Remuneration based on experience level ranging from $110,000 to $125,000 plus superannuation, travel allowance, CPD budget and bonuses

The clinical portion carries a billable incentive structure; the management portion is salaried, with a discretionary component tied to operational outcomes

Protected caseload of approximately three days per week

Anchored at the Bibra Lake office 3 days per week with flexible hours
