Lead the strategic planning of vital community infrastructure and help shape a sustainable future

- Full time | Permanent position
- Band 7: $113k-$126k per annum (depending on experience) + superannuation

About the role

You will play a key role in shaping the future of Council’s infrastructure assets and services. Leading a small team of asset management professionals, you will contribute to the development of strategic asset management plans, policies and capital renewal programs. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will provide expert technical advice and best-practice asset management principles to ensure investment decisions are driven by long-term sustainability, community needs and service outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

- Lead the development and implementation of asset management strategies, policies and plans that support the long-term sustainability of Council’s infrastructure assets.
- Drive the planning and delivery of long-term, five-year and annual capital works renewal programs across transport, stormwater, buildings and open space assets.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, continuous improvement and professional development.
- Develop and review Asset Management Plans and frameworks to ensure a best-practice, lifecycle approach to managing infrastructure assets.
- Provide expert technical advice and strategic recommendations to Council leaders and stakeholders on asset planning and management matters.
- Prepare reports, business cases and funding submissions, including grant applications that secure investment in Council’s infrastructure network.

About you

You are a strategic and collaborative asset management professional with experience in infrastructure planning, asset management and capital works programs. You enjoy developing practical,



long-term solutions that meet community needs while driving continuous improvement and in delivering sustainable, high-quality outcomes.

You will bring:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in infrastructure strategy, asset planning and asset management.
- Expertise in capital works planning, budgeting and lifecycle asset management across diverse infrastructure portfolios.
- Experience developing policies, strategies and asset management plans that support sustainable and community-focused outcomes.
- An ongoing commitment to innovation, continuous improvement and delivering sustainable, high-quality outcomes.
