Looking for a Civil/Structural Engineer for a well-established, niche Consulting Engineering and Building Design firm based in Southern Sydney, with a strong focus on structural engineering .

Our work is predominantly centred around the assessment, investigation and design of existing residential structures , including buildings impacted by fire, tree and vehicle damage, as well as structural defects and remedial works.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-driven Civil/Structural Engineer to join our growing team. This is a great chance for an engineer who enjoys structural engineering, wants strong technical exposure and is keen to develop their career alongside experienced senior engineers.

The role is highly structures-focused , with exposure to structural assessment, site investigations, causation reporting, remedial design and structural design across timber, steel and concrete .

Key Responsibilities

- Undertake structural inspections and assessments of existing buildings.
- Investigate structural defects, damage and failures and determine causation.
- Prepare detailed technical and causation reports.
- Develop scopes of structural and remedial works.
- Undertake structural analysis and design across timber, steel and concrete.
- Prepare structural drawings and documentation using AutoCAD.
- Liaise with clients,



contractors and other stakeholders.
- Work closely with senior engineers and contribute to project delivery.

Skills & Experience

- Civil or Structural Engineering degree.
- Experience in structural consulting or building design is desirable.
- Strong understanding of structural behaviour and engineering fundamentals.
- Developing or demonstrated capability in timber, steel and concrete design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent technical report writing and written English.
- High attention to detail.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to attend site.
- Genuine interest in developing a career in structural engineering.
